FRANKIE DRUM – Surgical Assistant
Frankie is our most tenured employee, having worked for Gaston Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery since 1995. Frankie’s meticulous attention to detail and overwhelming familiarity with Oral & Maxillofacial procedures have helped to ensure patient safety and success for more than two decades. She and her husband, Keith, have one son and one lovely grandson. She and Keith enjoy traveling, especially on a cruise ship!
CINDY DAVIS – Recovery Room Assistant
Cindy is our newest surgical assistant, as she joined the team in August 2017. Her sense of humor and compassion for others is always present. Cindy’s favorite part about working at Gaston Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery is knowing that she is part of something that makes a difference in other people’s lives. Outside of the office, some of her passions include music, animals, Panther’s football, and spending time with family and friends.
EMILY MILLER – Surgical Assistant
Emily joined the team as a surgical assistant in 2012. She knew at an early age that she was interested in the dental field and her favorite part of working at Gaston OMS is helping others. Outside of the office Emily enjoys spending time with her husband, Alex, her family, and friends. She loves to travel and enjoys any outdoor activity with her dog, Rylie, by her side. You can always find Emily with a positive attitude and a smile on her face.
CHRISTINA WILSON – Surgical Assistant/Recovery Room Assistant
Christina joined our team as a surgical assistant in 2013 but has been a surgical assistant since 2008 and became DAANCE certified in 2009. She has always had a passion for helping others and has been interested in dentistry for as long as she can remember. Her most enjoyable part of working at Gaston OMS is being able to ease patient’s anxiety and making for an overall enjoyable and comfortable experience in the office. In her free time Christina enjoys spending time with her husband Josh and their 3 boys, 2 dogs, and 6 chickens! She also enjoys camping, hiking, fishing, boating and working out. Christina is originally from Lowell but currently resides in Kings Mountain, NC.
KELSEY COSTNER – Surgical Assistant/Recovery Room Assistant
Kelsey began her dental career at Gaston OMS in July 2018. She graduated from Central Piedmont Community College with a dental assisting diploma. Outside of work she enjoys going to the lake, traveling/cruising, spending time with her family, boyfriend and dogs. She also enjoys cooking and bringing her bounty of food to her fellow employees! No one will ever be hungry at the office with own personal Chef Kelsey!
DAWN ATKINSON – Front Office Administrator
Dawn has been with Gaston OMS for 13 years, starting in 2005 with Dr. Jamison and Dr. Borchardt. She is great at making sure all patients have the information they need and are comfortable about their upcoming appointment. Whether she is scheduling appointments for the office or the hospital, Dawn truly enjoys helping patients. She is also tasked with another very important job; brewing the day’s first pot of coffee. When not at work, Dawn enjoys spending time with her family, shopping, and decorating her home. She and her husband, Paul, enjoy traveling and of course, rooting on their favorite sports teams; The Carolina Tarheels and the Carolina Panthers!
KERI MEDLIN – Insurance Coordinator
Keri is one of the newest members of our Gaston OMS team. She brings 13 years of dental experience. After graduating from dental assisting school she decided that front office and insurance was the path she enjoyed most. In her spare time, you can find her spending quality time with her husband, sweet little girl, and friends or enjoying the beach or mountains!
BETH BEACH – Front Office Administrator
Beth is the newest member of our team at Gaston OMS. She comes with 14 years of medical administration experience and recently migrated over to the dental industry. Beth was born and raised in Gastonia. She has a wonderful husband and 3 beautiful children. Beth is always on the go and loves to travel. When she is not traveling, you can find her reading a good book or shopping at Target!
